Date Night Look

Hey lovelies! So if you're anything like me and my husband then your date nights are pretty low key. We do occasionally get really dressed up and do something fancy but for the most part that's not really us. BUT! That doesn't mean I don't like to look my best or feel pretty when we go out. So this week we just did some shopping and then dinner and a movie (like I said low key lol) Btw, I don't know if any of you have seen the movie The Martian...but it's FANTASTIC!!! So you should totally watch it like immediately ;) Anyways, back to the fashion. So recently while at the Gap I saw this vest and just knew I had to have it. The color is what I fell in love with. I hadn't seen any other vest quite like the coloring this one had. After about 30 minutes perusing the store and grabbing like everything, I finally try all my stuff on. (Side note: My sweet hubby was with me and was so patient even though I was being super slow and indecisive about everything. He's a trooper and I love him for it!) I saved the vest for last and a cute little shift dress that I thought would go great with it...turns out it did! I just had this picture in my mind of wearing it with some black tights and booties.  Date night rolled around and I decided to wear this. I really love how it turned out too! It was super comfy and totally adorable at the same time, which in my book is what matters. So if your looking for a cute and easy look for date night try something like this. Adding Color Through Accessories

 I don't know if you guys know it or not
but I am OBSESSED with fall. Fall clothing
is the best in my opinion. You can 
accessorize in so many different ways and 
that makes picking an outfit so much more 
fun. Also, if your someone who is afraid of
color this can be a great time for you to 
easily add a small pop of it whether that 
be thru a scarf, hat, gloves, or even a purse. Don't be afraid to mix it up a little
bit. Adding color through accessories is a great way to spice up an outfit that you may wear often and this gives you a totally different look without having to purchase a whole new outfit. So my dare to you is the next time you're out shopping, buy that yellow scarf or that red purse you've been eyeing but have been too afraid to try. What's the worst that could happen...You look absolutely fabulous?! ;)

Transitioning Into Fall

If you come from a state like Texas where 
the transition into Fall isn't so quick and fall days can easily be in the 90's but by night could be in the 60's...it makes it hard to know how to dress for the day. The perfect solution....layers! I love wearing jeans with a light top and either bringing a sweater/jacket or a scarf with me. And ankle booties are the perfect shoe because unlike knee boots (which don't get me wrong I LOVE) they won't make you hot.

My Weekend Date Night Style

So as you get to know me you will see I keep it pretty casual for the most part. I live in a small town north of Dallas and I'm self employed so that means I don't always have a reason to dress up. BUT! I love fashion, hence the blog. So I figured this was a good way to give myself a reason to play dress up once in a while and to share my love of clothes and all things girly.

This was a look I wore a couple weeks ago out to dinner and a movie with my hubby. Oh, another thing you'll notice is that I love the color BLUSH. It's my fave. When I saw this purse I about died from cuteness overload, my husband didn't even wait till our anniversary to buy it for me. He just grabbed it, paid for it, and was like why not have an early gift (he's kind of awesome that way.)

Obsessed!
